Perhaps Waiting Is the Hardest

Today, Dan kept waiting to have some energy.  Finally, around Noon, when he saw Clark, Brenda and their 3 girls, his heart was happy…and energy surged.  He had the same experience when his brother, sisters and mates were here last weekend.  Being surrounded by loved ones strengthens Dan.

The chemotherapy is taking it’s toll draining his strength.  The pain from the growing tumor, now pressing against his groin and hip bone,  can only be decreased by pain medication which makes Dan sleep.  While we know there can be serious side effects from the heavy dose of chemo next Tuesday, we are praying that it will begin to shrink the mass.  God seems to be saying, “Wait.”

God is blessing us with a calm spirit, and, most of the time, with clear thinking.  God is so good to surround us here with Intentional Followers of Jesus who help us carry our burdens, and calm our fears.  Johnnie sent this verse of a song, and the scriptures that inspired it.  May God grant you and us the faith to wait upon Him. — Anne and Dan

Song from ISAIAH  40:31 –

“Teach me LORD to wait down upon my knees,
Till in your own good time, you will answer my plea.
Teach me not to rely on what others do, but to wait
in prayer for an answer from you.”

“Those that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength;  they shall mount up with wings like eagles;  they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk and not faint.”

Teach me LORD….teach me LORD to wait !!!”

                                                “…I will strengthen thee:

                                                 …Yea, I will Help thee…”  Isaiah 41:10
