Is Your Armor Ready?

Tuesday evening – Part 1

Feeling lost in the dark valley last night, we cried out to our Team of Shepherds. There is no explanation for Dan’s improvement today except their prayers.  The swelling is less, the fever is gone, Dan was able to sit up in a chair for long periods. He even walked around some inside the house.  That’s how God answered Our Shepherds’ prayers. We are thankful for all the prayers going up before God’s Throne for us.

There are some people today who do not believe Satan exists. If that is a belief that you choose, please, understand that I’m not asking you to believe what I believe.  I just want to share with you my experience.  Several times when I’ve gotten very down about Dan’s illness, about the heart pain in our life right now, God has sent messages to me through trusted friends.

They said, “Anne, this is an attack from Satan. This is being done to hurt Dan and you. You are doing much good in the name of Jesus.  Satan wants to stop you. Satan hates God, and Satan hates you.  Know who the enemy is.  It is Satan.  God will take care of this.” This afternoon, we heard these words again from a friend who phoned from Dallas to pray over us.

With renewed energy, and clearer thinking, I remembered what Paul said to the Intentional Followers of Jesus in Ephesians 6:11-13, “Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood but…against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.”    Having remembered to put on the full armor of God, we are standing…protected by God.  — Anne and Dan
