Dan’s Day

Today was Sunday, the Lord’s Day.  Dan was strong enough to go to church with me.  What a joy to be there!  Our souls are always “fed” with a scripture filled lesson.  The a capella singing of 2,000 voices was awe inspiring.  By the time we visited with friends after church, Dan was exhausted…but thrilled to have been there.

Monday at 11:30 a.m./19:30 Romanian time, Dan will have another Small Group Bible discussion with LST Readers in Sfantu Gheorghe, Romania.  This brings Dan great joy.  In the afternoon we will meet with the oncologist to hear what the C-T Scan showed…did the cancer shrink or not?  The mass is huge now.  AND, what is to happen next – more chemo to poison Dan – make him so ill that he sleeps all the time and can’t stand the metallic taste of food?  You can see that I have strong feelings about the suffering Dan is going through.  I will tell you tomorrow what the doctor told us. — Anne

To continue Dan’s message that we started last night, Dan said,   “Paul wrote Timothy before he went to be with the Lord:  ‘So never be  ashamed to tell others about our Lord. And don’t be ashamed of me, either, even though I’m in prison for him. With the strength God gives you, be ready to suffer with me for the sake of the Good News. For God  saved us and called us to live a holy life.’

‘He did this, not because we deserved it, but because that was his plan from before the  beginning of time—to show us his grace through Christ Jesus.  And now  he has made all of this plain to us by the appearing of Christ Jesus, our Savior. He broke the power of death and illuminated the way to  life and immortality through the Good News.’  (2 Timothy 1:8-10)”  More tomorrow — Dan
