Up and Down

Having lost 19 pounds during chemotherapy treatments, Dan’s blood pressure medication has caused him to have very low blood pressure, and then suddenly jump up high for awhile, and then drop very low again. The doctor is working to get it regulated.  We check Dan’s bp several times a day.  He felt pretty exhausted most of the day, but “perked up” this evening.  Could it be the vegan chocolate pudding Dottie made that improved his spirit???

But what do you think when the Dr.says, Your cancer is so rare that there is no published research on it?” How do you feel when they begin to discuss hospice care, managing the pain until you die?  What do you think when you have been praying for months to be healed, and the cancer keeps growing?  We still have no information about the comparison between the two C-T Scans.  Maybe Friday?  Or maybe we have to wait until Dan’s Dr. returns.

Lamentations 3 tells what has been happening with us —
55 I called on your name, O LORD,
from the depths of the pit.
56 You heard my plea: “Do not close your ears
     to my cry for relief.”
57 You came near when I called you,
and you said, “Do not fear.”

We are getting some wonderful suggestions about alternative methods to help Dan defeat the large cancer in his groin and abdomen.  This morning we both were “down,” but ended the day “up,” full of thanksgiving and peace because of all the love, help and prayers God’s people are providing…and because God said, “Do not fear.”  Are you listening?  Those who are in Christ Jesus have no need to fear because everything is going to be okay.  —  Anne and Dan
