A Word Fitly Spoken

Dan had a pretty good day.  His energy level is better.  His appetite is better.  The look of death is gone from his face.  Dan and I know that God is not finished with us yet.  We have a lot of growing to do because we are far from perfect.  We grow through trials, through suffering.  God is allowing cancer, abandonment by people we love, unkind words, fatigue to all be in our life.  If we choose to hang on tight to Jesus, we will make it through all this, and come out stronger, wiser, closer to God.  A beautiful cousin, inspired by God, sent this encouraging message today – words so fitly spoken:
“2 Corinthians 12:9-10
‘But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.’
Our prayers will be with you and Dan. And we know that through this all, Jesus will be victorious.
Love, D and S”
Our grateful thanks go out to all of you who stand with us in this battle.  We will let you know as soon as we learn the test results from last week’s aspiration. Please, keep praying! — Anne and Dan
