What Will the Surgeon Say

October 7, 2008 at 3:51 am 1 comment

Tuesday, 2:00 p.m. (22:00 RO time) we meet with the surgeon.  Perhaps he will say he thinks it advisable to clean the mass out, or he may order more tests to be done.
Please, keep praying that the mass will dissolve like it is supposed to, and that Dan’s body be free of cancer cells, Parkinson’s and any other illness.  The mass stopped growing after the Wednesday evening service when one of our Shepherds anointed Dan with oil (as instructed in James 5) and prayed over him.  The aspiration showed that the interior of the mass is tiny separate compartments filled with fluid like a hematoma.
The fluid inside the mass is “dead” blood separated into water and blood.  The 30 cc of fluid which was removed from the mass had no cancer cells in it.   However, there may be cancer cells in the exterior tissue of the mass.  We are weary, confused.  We know God is allowing this.  Whatever happens we are in God’s hands
James 5:13 – 16, “Is any one of you in trouble? He should pray. Is anyone happy? Let him sing songs of praise. Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.
Thank you for your prayers on our behalf. — Anne and Dan

Hi! My name is Christie Hawn, and my husband and I attend Coastside Community Church with Scott and Michelle. I am 24 years old, and I was diagnosed with Stage II (with bulky disease) Hodgkin’s lymphoma almost a month ago. I just completed my third chemo treatment today. I have been reading your blogs – your faith and hope in the Lord is extremely encouraging. I will be praying for you tomorrow and the days ahead – what a comfort to be able to trust that our God is truly faithful in all things. Scott and Michelle were telling me about your diet and the success that you have had with it – I would like to talk to you about it if you would be willing. My e-mail address is cmhawn@gmail.com and my cell is (843)323-0267.
    In Him,
