A Fine Birthday

The Lord blessed us with a perfect Fall day here in Texas – sunshine, temperature just right, and many birthday greetings by e-mail, telephone and one birthday card by mail!  Our thanks go out to all of you who sent Dan Birthday Greetings. Clark brought groceries today, sat and visited awhile, then helped Dan pick up 6 boxes of business files Judy had been storing for us, and put in a small storage room.  Lana brought her cleaning lady with her, and they gave the house a good cleaning…got rid of the remodeling dust that was in the house!!!  All that lifted his spirits quite a bit.

We went to a nice Chinese Buffet for a peaceful, relaxing lunch.  We are thankful for the many blessings God gave us today.  Sunday, our sons, Bob and Scott fly in to help us while Dan is in the hospital. We are into the countdown.  Surgery, Monday, 12:30 – 1:30, at HEB Methodist Hospital, Bedford.  Please pray that God will bless Dan, the medical team, everyone who helps take care of Dan in any way, and that Dan will have a safe, swift, infection free recovery…and that I will have the peace of mind and strength to take good care of him.

What Stefan wrote a few weeks ago is still true today. “My heart and prayers are with both of you everyday.  God is with you all the time.  Many are in prayer over you around the world.  May God uplift you at just the right time and give you peace.  May God give you the grace to go through the cancer journey for His glory.” The prayers are working!  — Anne and Dan

Yes, God is good all the time! Praise His Name! God supplies for our every need! At just the right moment, God shows up and blesses us with His wonderful, uplifting encouragement. God’s encouragement fills our hearts with hope, joy, and peace that surpasses all human comprehension. May God fulfill all of your needs from His treasures in glory. Steve and I continue praying for you both everyday. May you begin feeling the warmth of His Presence within you so your joy may be complete joy. God bless. “A person who smiles makes other people happy. Good News makes people feel better (Proverbs 15:30).”

    Love to you,
