A New Day?

While our future is unknown, we do know that America will have a Democrat for  President, the first man of color to be President, and a Democratic controlled Congress.  My father taught me to judge a person by their behavior, not by the color of their skin.  We choose our behaviors.  We cannot choose the color of our skin.  We choose if we are going to give our heart to God, and glorify Him by our lives.

We have God’s promises in 2 Chronicles 7:14, ‘If my people who are called by my name will humble
themselves, pray, seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”  It is long past time for us to be intentional followers of Christ, and obey what God said in that verse.

Dan and I are both very tired – the time change always does that to us.  We feel like we are in limbo.  Every day begins with the same message, “Dan has cancer.  We must focus on doing what he needs to win this battle.”  Today he typed up a new schedule of what has to be eaten, or what has to be done.  Then, he set the alarm on his iPod so that it will get his attention…and he can choose whether or not he is going to do what is needed right then.

We are so thankful that generous people continue to prepare raw vegan meals for us to help Dan fight the sarcoma cancer.  We are thankful that Dottie continues to open her lovely home to us.  (She will be gone 4 weeks this month ministering to missionary women first in South America, and later in Europe.)  God is good.  God is always good!  — Anne and Dan
