He Will Lead Us On Through the Night

Dan is no better, but his condition is not worse than yesterday. Even though the new little hematoma and foul odor are still in the wound, Dan has no fever.  The RN Wound Care Specialist comes every day.  This set back has made us very aware that we are not in control of our lives at all.  Our desire is to go back to our home in Romania to work with the dear people there.  But God says, “Wait.  I have a plan. Wait.”
I promised to give you the words to “Precious Lord,” by Tommy Dorsey. His words express so eloquently where we are right now when he wrote after the death of his wife and baby,  “As the Lord gave me these words and melody, He also healed my spirit. I learned that when we are in our deepest grief, when we feel farthest from God, this is when He is closest, and when we are most open to His restoring power. And so I go on living for God willingly and joyfully, until that day comes when He will take me and gently lead me home.”  Because we trust God, have dedicated our lives to following God’s Son, Jesus, we can trust Him as we put our hand in His hand and Let HIM lead us.

“Take My Hand Precious Lord”
By Jazz and Gospel Music Musician
Thomas Dorsey (not the famous band director of the 1940’s.)

“Precious Lord, take my hand
Lead me on,
Let me stand.
I’m tired, I am weak I am worn.
Through the storm, through the night
Lead me on to the light.
Take my hand precious Lord, lead me home

When my way grows drear, precious Lord linger near.
When my life is almost gone.
Hear my cry,
Hear my call.
Hold my hand lest I fall.
Take my hand precious Lord, lead me home.

When the darkness appears and the night draws near
And the day is past and gone,
At the river I stand.
Guide my feet,
Hold my hand.
Take my hand precious Lord, lead me home.

Precious Lord, take my hand.
Lead me on,
Let me stand.
I am tired, I am weak, I am worn.
Through the storm, through the night
Lead me on to the light.
Take my hand precious Lord, lead me home.”

We pray that one day all of you will be able to say the words of this song from your heart. — Anne and Dan
