The God of Hope

Romans 15:13, “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”  This verse, and many like it, from God’s Word keeps us going.  Today Dr. Hendrickson, Dan’s wound care specialist, said she wants to improve Dan’s quality of life.  (That’s what doctors say when they know they can’t cure the disease.) A bandage will be used that will hold the drainage and only has to be changed every 3 days. That will make it easier on Dan’s skin.

But the way the bandage has to be taped on may make it difficult for Dan to walk easily.  The Dr.wants Dan to accept a wheelchair to use when he has a long way to walk. It’s been a sad day for us. But we are not giving up.  The Dr. said two good things  1.  the wound may eventually close. 2.   And even if it does not close,  once the wound is stabilized, we can return to Romania.

After we left the Dr.’s office today, we went by Dottie’s to get the things we’d left behind last week.  (Dottie is still not feeling well. Please, pray for her.)  We are in Saginaw, TX, with Paul and Melissa until next week Thursday, Dec. 11.  Then, using airmile tickets we’ll visit our son, Scott, and family in Montara, CA, on the northern Pacific Coast for 5 weeks. Now, we must store the things we do not need in California and pack for another temporary move!
Thank you for all your prayers and encouraging words.  We are safe in God’s hands.  He graciously let us teach and counsel this week in Romania and Spain using modern technology.  God is good! — Anne and Dan
