Welcomed with Open Arms

It is so blessed to be with loving family.  They welcomed us with open arms.  They had worked for days getting ready for us.  What a surprise when they showed us to our bedroom – a new room had been made in the huge glass walled sun room that faces the Pacific!  The new bed had our bedspread.  One wall had some of my favorite paintings that Scott and Michelle chose when we distributed our things to our children.  Every room in this house has something that was in our home in NRH.

Thursday afternoon while Scott took Dan to see the doctor, Michelle and the children took me down to the beach.  It  was sunny with a cold wind blowing.  The waves came rolling up to the beach in one long row almost 1/2 mile long – rare and beautiful!  The most exciting moment was when the full moon began to peek over the mountains on the East as the sun began to go down behind the water in a blaze of glory in the west.  We all stood in awe as we watched God paint such a magnificent sunset for us.

The Home Health nurse will come Saturday to change Dan’s wound dressing.  He was very tired today; the pain never stopped,  but he and I both are happy to be here.  Our children here obey this word from Jesus, “Live a life of loving light (Matthew 5:16; 1 Corinthians 13:1-13) — Anne and Dan

Thank you for keeping us all informed of how things are going. So sorry Dan is having so much pain. It sounds like you have a very nice place to stay with wonderful caring, believing children. My prayers for you continue daily.
