Our Hearts Are Full

Another view of God's Creation that He shares with us every dayAnother view of God’s Creation that He shares with us every day

Our hearts are full of gratitude for the love and kindness being showered upon us by our son, his family, his friends here in California, and by our extended family around the world.  Today has been quite a challenge for Dan.  His right foot and leg have been swelling ever since the drain pumps were removed and the Wound Vac put on.  The swelling has been exceptionally painful today.  No solution has been found.  Next, we are going to try first a pack made of fresh cabbage leaves, and then a castor oil pack off and on all day.

Even though the RN applied the  Wound Vac very carefully, he had to return to close up the tiny air leaks in the tape.  But, all that work was for nothing because, the RN had to remove that tape and start all over.  The Wound Vac was quiet when the RN left, but within 2 hours it was pop, pop, popping.  In the RN’s attempt to close all the air holes, he got the tape so tight that the Wound Vac sounds an alarm every 20 or 30 minutes announcing that there is blockage in the line….but there is no blockage.  Dan decided to sleep on the couch tonight in the hope that the alarm and popping won’t awaken anyone.

We want you to know that our hearts are with you. Listen to what Paul wrote to the followers of Christ in Phillippi. “Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

It is right for me to feel this way about all of you, since I have you in my heart; for whether I am in chains or defending and confirming the gospel, all of you share in God’s grace with me. God can testify how I long for all of you with the affection of Christ Jesus.

And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ—to the glory and praise of God.” Phillippians 1:2-11 — Anne and Dan
