Will Dan Go Home Tonight?

June 9, 2009 at 8:11 am 2 comments

As I was finishing dinner tonight, Michelle called urgently, “Anne, Dan wants you!”  I ran from the table to where he was lying in the recliner.  She said, “He thinks he may go soon.”

All day Dan was not in his right mind.  But tonight he is clear in his thinking.  He feels dizzy and when he opens his eyes he sees clouds. Dan is having difficulty breathing.  He thinks he is near the end.  But his color is good.  My training is that he will have some blue come around his lips and in the ends of his toes and fingers before he goes home to God.

I think it will be several hours before he goes.  He may even be here in the morning.  We will let you know when he passes.  We pray for God to comfort you. We love you,  Anne and Dan

All day Dan was not in his right mind.  But tonight his thinking is clear. He called the family to gather around him for some tender moments  telling them each one goodbye.  Then he phoned his brother and sisters to bid them farewell.  He was feeling dizzy, and when he opens his eyes he sees clouds.  He hears a voice saying, “Come home. Come home.”  Having  great difficulty breathing, he thinks he is near the end.  But his color is good.  His feet and hands are warm. My training is that he will be blue around his lips and the ends of his toes and fingers will be bluish  before he passes. Yet he  says, “I feel  strange.  I’ve never done this before, so I’m not sure what is going to happen.”

I think it will be several hours before he goes.  He may even be here in the morning.  We will let you know.  We pray for God to comfort you. It is Dan’s great desire that you will live so as to one day be able to join him in Heaven.  He and I thank you for your prayers, your messages, your concern.  The best way you can show respect for Dan is to study to understand God’s Word, and become intentional followers of Jesus. — Anne and Dan

Dan wants you to help the children after he is gone.

Dying is an unlovely thing, but it is only our shell that is harmed. Thought Dan's body was swollen with sarcomas and fluid, his spirit is safe in the arms of Jesus.
