God surrounds me with loving people to help with all my needs.  We still miss Dan, and are blessed with comforting conversations.

On a lighter note, when I stepped into the taxi Sunday morning, before I could say the address of the church, the taxi driver asked with a smile, “Kalvin Ter?”  That’s LST Headquarters where all the reading takes place.  The Grannies for God are becoming well known!

“100 LITTLE  THOUGHTS ABOUT GOD, MAN AND SOCIETY,” gleaned from 49 years of conversations between Dan and Dr. Dick van Geet, Utrecht, Holland (our neighbor for 5 years and friend ever after)

2. Mankind could be compared with people in a spaceshuttle.

They know they belong to another world than the world where they are living now. They know they stem from that other world and are destined to go back there one day. They also know they can only go there if they follow the instructions of the groundstation precisely. It is normal to do so but they are also perfectly free to refuse the commands from the earth. But, if  so it will not be possible to return to their destination. They will be condemned to roam in the universe forever.

3. Maybe mankind could even be better compared with the second generation people in the spaceshuttle.

A generation that has already lost contact with the groundstation roaming purposeless through the universe. They have some vague idea that things are not as they should be, and that they originally stem from another world where it is much better than where they are now. Deep in their hearts most of them would like to go back to that place, but there is no way; the connection is lost.

But then, at once, a message comes through: do this and do that, push that button etc. and the connection will be repaired so you could go back. But some people in the shuttle say: this message is misleading. Others say: life is not so bad here, we don’t like to return, let’s enjoy our stay here. However, others want to listen to the message and follow the instructions for returning. Many people try to convince others about what should be done. What will the outcome be?”  — Anne

Jesus says, “My true brother and sister and mother is any person that does the things my Father in heaven wants (Matthew 12:50-ETRV).”

    Dear Anne,
Hooray for the Grannies for God! God is becoming well known through these wonderful women! The Grannies for God serve our Lord in the same way the first century Christian women served Jesus when those women were walking and talking with Jesus. Hallelujah for God’s Women! Serve Him well. Jesus loves women.

Women Serve Jesus: “A woman named Martha let Jesus stay at her house (Luke 10:38-ETRV).” “In Bethany they had dinner for Jesus. Martha served the food . . . Mary brought in a pint of very expensive perfume made from pure nard [expensive oil from the root of the nard plant]. Mary poured the perfume on Jesus’ feet. Then she wiped his feet with her hair. And the sweet smell from the perfume filled the whole house (John 12:2,3-ETRV).” “Many women were standing away from the cross, watching. These were the women that followed Jesus from Galilee to care for him (Matthew 27:55-ETRV).”

Women Tell Good News about Jesus: “At dawn on the first day [of the week], Mary Magdalene and the other woman named Mary went to look at the tomb . . . The angel said to the women, ‘Don’t be afraid. I know that you are looking for Jesus . . . Jesus is not here. He has risen from death, like he said he would’ . . . So the women left the tomb quickly. They were afraid, but they were also very happy . . . While the women were running to tell the followers, Jesus was standing there before them. Jesus said, ‘Hello!’ The women went to Jesus. They held him at his feet and worshipped him. Then Jesus said to the women, ‘Don’t be afraid. Go and tell my brothers (followers) to go to Galilee. They will see me there (Matthew 28:1-10-ETRV).”
