Sharing the Joy of Easter
This week, as we remember about the sacrifice of Jesus, we are overwhelmed by His love – for He has shown us the greatest love. Our Saviour has shown us abundant grace and mercy.
In reading Romans 5, we learn that “at just the right time,” Christ died for us, and we have been made right with God by the blood-sacrifice of Christ. This justification, accomplished by God through Jesus, is the reason we can now rejoice and even boast. He is the Shepherd of our souls, and He knows whatever our hearts need.
We wish you all special Easter blessings! God is good all the time, and He will be good all the time. May your happiness be great, and may you be filled with much hope, peace and joy!
Blessings and prayers!
Do You Ever Feel Lost?
Have you ever felt like you are on a journey but without a map? Maybe you’ve actually been driving along trusting your GPS…when it stops! That actually happened to me on one of the monstrous new TX freeways two weeks ago. Totally dependent on my GPS, suddenly…the voice disappeared!
Nothing around me looked familiar. I had no idea which way to turn. Filled with anxiety, I began praying,…and kept going…believing that somehow guidance would happen. Laugh if you will, but shortly before the needed exit, the little lady inside the GPS began speaking again! Now, mind you, that was not the exit to get me on the simple path. I missed the first exit…driving at the legal speed limit of 70 mph, I could not see all those small signs beside the highway as I sped past. But the lady in the GPS started again telling me what to do..and I obeyed…every step…arriving a little shaken, but safely at my destination!
Well…what lesson is there to be learned from this? Stay off these new giant roads? Slow down? Don’t go where I’ve never been before? Ummm, no. 😉 There are many lessons. Perhaps you have a suggestion? Here is the Big Lesson I learned, again, that day… Regardless of what comes our way, God will see us through it. Maybe our plan needed to be tweaked, or even changed. If we suffer pain, disappointment, loss along the way, or wind up feeling battered and bruised, by hanging onto God, we will grow stronger, wiser. I know whereof I speak…from experience. So…wait on the Lord, then spread your wings. He always will help you fly on the good path!
~~ Anne
“…those who wait upon God get fresh strength.
They spread their wings and soar like eagles,
They run and don’t get tired,
they walk and don’t lag behind
They spread their wings and soar like eagles,
They run and don’t get tired,
they walk and don’t lag behind.” Isaiah 40: 31, The Message
