What’s Right in This Dark Land

In this land of despair, with 30% unemployment, here a local teen group from the Music and Art School bring joy to all with their folk dancing out in the open air.

Gifted young people with musical talent attend school at the Conservatory of Music. Maybe their talent will provide them a future career.

God’s Children will soon have a class for the children in a special daycare center to exercise their brain with fun games led by Marti, my Summer Intern.

Kurtos Kalacs – sweet dough on a round long wooden log, roasted over hot coals, rolled in sugar! ┬áTraditional special treat!

Children’s Bibles in their own language are being distributed through the schools, churches, orphanages!

Young women meet with Anne to discuss Christian ways of communication.

There are many beautiful countries in the world. Romania is one of the most beautiful with tall mountains, valleys, Alpine meadows, steams, lakes, 2200 pure natural springs flowing out of the mountains, and many good people with a heart for God.

Pray for this land and her people. “Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.” James 5:16. Just saying… Anne

Summer in Transylvania

Summer is here, and Kyle is alive to experience it. A golf cart accident required air flight to Cook’s Children, Ft. Worth. Brain surgery saved his life. In a coma for days, he now is up & walking. Even though he still has a blood clot in his brain, the flow of blood in his body is good! Appreciate your prayers for Kyle. God is answering our prayers. Doctors are amazed at Kyle’s progress.

Welcome to my home. Tea, coffee, herb tea using herbs from my garden, or maybe some of the organic milk that I pasteurized myself?

PIck out a few herbs or flowers to celebrate your visit here in St Georghe, RO.

Guszti and Aranka made a new flower bed for me as a way to thank me for helping Levi in Holland. He has had some temporary work, but it’s sporadic. In the background, you can see the mountain top across from my mountain.

This church and fortress were built before Columbus “discovered” America.

Beautiful roses bless me day after day.

Here are some of the “flowers,” you can help by donating to God’s Children. Go to our website, click on the button, and donated generously.

So many good things are happening…trustworthy, hardworking Summer Intern, Sibianu Marti, will server a 3 month internship under my direction. God is always good! — Anne

Transylvanian Summer Day

Interesting things happened in Transylvania during June Full Moon

Kato and Gyuri’s front yard is one big rose garden!

The Stork Family lives atop a tall concrete light pole near Kato’ and Gyuri’s home from late March until late September…then back to Africa.

Roses are in full bloom in my garden…until late September.

My rock garden provides beauty for the eye, and herbs for tea.

Ancient fortress and church stand beckoning from across the valley as the bells ring out the hour for worship.

Transylvania is a beautiful place to be in June!– Anne

Cooling fog comes silently

Sunset near Kommando – where we will build our campsite

Camp will bring her new hope

Bring a smile to her face…build a camp where she can experience peace, find a better way in days to come.

Some children have never been outside their village to experience Nature. God created so much beauty in Transylvania. Let’s share it with the children!

Restoring Energy Where God’s Love and Strength Is So Visible

A place to rest, to meditate, relax in quietness.

People come here for health restoring treatments using the waters pouring forth from these mountains God created through volcanic action. I saw a man who had been unable to walk for long time…now beginning to walk, laughing, happy.

As the sun was setting, God’s creativity displayed His splendor.
