Dan Is Still Waiting

It was a long night last night.  Twice he thought he was going, but, for some reason, did not let go.  Maybe it is not his time yet?  Melissa (our dear friend that we lived with for several months before we came to California) is on the plane now coming to San Francisco to help us take care of Dan for 3 days.

Please, pray that God will help Dan let go of whatever is holding him here.  Praise God who gives us peace, comfort and joy.

The scripture God gave me this morning is Luke 15:11-20 about the son who had done wrong, and came home to his father to ask forgiveness.  We all have made mistakes.  There is no one who is perfect.  Jesus died for our sins so that we can be forgiven…if we choose to follow Him.  This story in Luke is telling us that God is preparing a party and a home for all His children.  I pray that you will choose to be an intentional follower of Christ so we can all be together with Him one day.

I have prayed this prayer for you, “Lord, please help Dan to let go of this earth and embrace heaven’s glory. Lord, when You call Dan home to be with You forever, please, help Dan comprehend, help Dan let go of this earth, and help Dan reach out his hand by placing Dan’s hand into Your strong and comforting Hand. Lord, I want Dan to let go so Dan can enjoy heaven’s glorious comfort, easing relief, and amazing peace forevermore. Lord, lift up Dan to heaven’s glory. And, as You lift up Dan to heaven’s glory, please comfort and encourage Anne … heal Anne’s broken heart … help the entire Boyd family … send Your amazing promises into their lives so they may truly see the glory of Your kind grace and loving favor as You turn their sorrows into joys in due season. In Jesus name, Amen — so be it done according to our faith.”

I believe God will soon turn your sorrows into great joy, in His timing and in His way, so you may know the depth, the height, the length, and the width of His amazing Love. May Jesus hold you in the palm of His Hand, and may God carry you on eagle’s wings through these days that try your souls. Amen in Jesus name.

    Love, Sherrie H.
